Advance Discount Tickets to Dickens on the Strand
HAVE YOU EXPERIENCED the fun of Galveston’s holiday tradition, Dickens on the Strand Festival? I highly recommend it for everyone! The period costumes, parades, children’s activities, costume contest, holiday shopping and musical entertainment (especially the handbells) — all make for a fun weekend. The festival is December 5-6 from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. (Saturday) and 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. (Sunday). Purchase your tickets in advance at Kroger stores through December 4 and save some money. Advance adult tickets are $9 and children 7-12 are $4. Children under age 7 are free. (Note: Advance discount tickets are also available online at the site but the link didn’t work for me.) Visitors dressed in Victorian-era costumes will be admitted for half-price! The Dickens Festival is located at Harborside Drive between 20th and 25th Streets in Galveston.
