Grow Gourmet Vegetables: Free Urban Harvest Class March 17
The beautiful spring weather is enticing me to get outdoors and plant! Learn from the best this week at Urban Harvest’s free Food for Thought series this Wednesday, March 17, on Growing Gourmet Vegetables. A panel of farmers and chefs will share their favorite vegetable varieties to plant and eat. The evening begins at 6:30 p.m. for social time, a moderated panel from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m., with questions following. This event is held at University of Houston’s Oberholtzer Residence Hall, 108 Oberholtzer Hall.
The free Food for Thought series is held the third Wednesday of each month on popular topics around growing and eating locally. Urban Harvest supports community gardens, education, and its weekly Farmers Market at 3000 Richmond and soon at Discovery Green beginning in April.
