This year’s featured artist is Ash Beheshti, a mixed-media artist from Los Angeles. As a visual storyteller, Beheshti voices his stories through figurative collages celebrating the female form and portraying women in a strong, positive, and inspirational light.

A Northern California native and an SFSU graduate, Ash Beheshti relocated to Los Angeles in the late 1990s to turn his passion for painting, fashion photography, film, music, travel, and all things vintage into a successful career as a contemporary artist. His signature style combines elements of realism with spiritual symbolism to transform his vision from conceptual ideas into thought-provoking creations on canvas.

To bring his canvas collages to life, Ash combines a multitude of techniques and materials in a multi-step process. These techniques include paper collaging, digital collaging, silk-screening, photo transfer, and hand painting.
