Free or Cheap Swim Lessons in Houston – Best Swimming Classes

HOUSTON PARKS & RECREATION SWIMMING LESSONS

The City of Houston offers two different programs for learning to swim. H20Safe and SwimWise are both free!

SwimWise– For infants, children, and adults. Classes are held Tuesday through Friday for 30 minutes each in two week increments. You must register online.

H20Safe– For kids aged 6 – 13, this class teaches water safety, swim skills, and strokes. These classes are also Tuesday through Friday for 30 minutes each in two week periods. Register online.

 

HARRIS COUNTY SWIM LESSONS

Located inside local YMCAs, community centers, and high schools, Harris County offers free swim lessons to children and adults. Classes are available during the Summer and you’ll have to register online once class times are released.

 

TYPHOON TEXAS SWIM LESSONS

This local water park hosts free swim lessons once a year during the summer. The space will be limited to 300 people and you’ll have to sign up to gain access. Bookmark their calendar to stay up to date on openings and freebies.

 

YMCA SWIMMING LESSONS IN HOUSTON, TX

Local YMCAs partner up every year with local businesses to bring free swim lesson events to local residents. Sign up for updates from the YMCA nearest you for dates coming up next summer.
