River Oaks Christmas Lights 2024 – A Little Bit About This Upscale Neighborhood

River Oaks is a premium neighborhood in the Houston Inner Loop, between Downtown and Uptown Houston. It is a leafy paradise with beautiful custom homes (actually they are mansions!) with a median price of $2.4M.

River Oaks is considered Houston’s first planned community and is home to many of the city’s wealthiest and most influential residents.

The community is spread out over 1,110 acres and was established in the 1920s!

River Oaks is bounded by Buffalo Bayou to the north, South Shepherd Drive to the east, Willowick Road to the west, Westheimer Road to the south.

In order to get to the neighborhood, you can use the address – 1600 River Oaks Blvd, Houston, TX 77019 or put River Oaks Country Club in your GPS. Remember that the Country Club is a private area with member only access.
