Pecan Grove Christmas Lights 2023 – Annual Pecan Grove Christmas Lighting Contest
For 2023, the Pecan Grove Property Owners Association has asked all residents to have their lights up by Saturday, November 25th. Judging will start on Monday, December 11, and run through December 16. Bulbs will be planted in the yards of the winners no later than December 16th.
Pecan Grove is divided into 8 parts for judging, with prizes given for first place, second place, third place, and Eyes of a Child. Those who have maintained “HOF” status for up to 5 years straight and have continued to decorate are given Hall of Fame Bulbs. Homes that place for 5 years in a row in any category receive brand-new Hall of Fame Bulbs!

When Do The Lights Go Up – Pecan Grove Christmas Lights Dates
Starting from late November, the houses of Pecan Grove will be lit up in their best Christmas decor. You can tour the neighborhood and admire each home’s decor at your own pace. You can even chat with the residents who are more than happy to talk about their decor and even share some Christmas stories. As we get closer to Christmas, there will be more houses decorated and the final masterpieces will be complete. The lights will typically be up until after the New Year.
In addition to the Christmas lights, you can also enjoy hayrides and take pictures with various beloved characters. Also, expect tons of inflatables, Christmas lights synched to music, light tunnels, and more.
Christmas Lights at Pecan Grove near Houston – Address
Not only does Pecan Grove have Texas-sized displays, but it’s also a Texas-sized neighborhood. You could spend hours driving around trying to see all the lights. The Pecan Grove website states that there are over 2100 houses, so imagine how many lights are put up each year!
If you’re coming down 90, you can turn down Pitts Road to head into Pecan Grove. From there, the options are endless. Follow the other cars or veer off and make your own route. Whichever corner of the neighborhood you’ll find yourself in, you’re sure to see some amazing displays.
If you don’t have hours, you can head straight for the highlights! Head down to Plantation Drive for some of the biggest and brightest displays. The residents of Pecan Grove Plantation off of Pitts Road have adorned their sidewalks with hundreds of lighted archways, making it the perfect spot to get out of your car and walk around to see the blinding arrangements. There is street parking in the neighborhood so you can park and walk around for a bit. Make sure to check for any signs and be respectful of the people who live in the neighborhood.

Pecan Grove in Richmond, TX is an upscale residential neighborhood in Northeastern Fort Bend County. Over 2100 homes make up the community, which is close to Highway 90 between Harlem Road and FM 359 and has easy access to Highway 59 and the Grand Parkway.
According to the Pecan Grove Property Owners Association ‘Pecan Grove was first started by Bruce Belin and Associates when they purchased approximately 1,450 acres in 1973. Construction of the development began in 1978. Named for the stately pecan trees growing in the area, the community was originally referred to as Pecan Grove Plantation and later simply Pecan Grove.
