The Holocaust Museum Houston features changing galleries that offer intellectually and aesthetically challenging exhibits that encourage visitors to examine the Holocaust, contemporary genocides, and larger topics of prejudice and hatred from a variety of perspectives. There are permanent exhibits including two continuously-running films, “Voices” and “Voices II”, in which Holocaust survivors share their first-hand experiences. Other exhibits include an authentic 1940s rail car similar to the ones used to carry millions of Jews to their deaths and a Danish fishing boat similar to the ones used to save thousands of Danish Jews.
