The Flaming Lips are an American psychedelic rock band formed in 1983 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The band currently consists of Wayne Coyne (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Steven Drozd (guitars, keyboards, bass, vocals), Derek Brown (keyboards, guitars, percussion), Matt Duckworth Kirksey (drums, percussion, keyboards), and Nicholas Ley (percussion, drums). The group has won three Grammy Awards, including two for Best Rock Instrumental Performance. The band will have a concert on September 28, 8 PM at the House of Blues.

Four years ago Cray was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame.
