About Woodland Heights Neighborhood in Houston

The Woodland Heights neighborhood is one of the oldest and most historic in Houston, Texas. It includes approximately 2000 homes spread out over 106 acres in the 77009 ZIP code.

Woodland Heights was founded in 1907 by the William Wilson Realty Company. This planned community aimed to provide stylish homes for middle-class families at reasonable prices. The neighborhood features a distinctive architectural style, with most houses built in the Queen Anne, Craftsman, and American Four Square styles.

During the main event, Lights in the Heights 2024, Byrne, Euclid, and 7 1/2th Streets take center stage. Closed to car traffic, these vibrant hubs come alive with meticulously decorated homes, twinkling lights, and joyful holiday spirit.

Stroll along the illuminated streets marked on the map, marveling at the creative displays and soaking in the festive atmosphere. Whether you’re a resident or a visitor, LITH® welcomes you to join in the holiday merriment.

Kickoff the Season at the LITH® Bash: Join fellow residents for a fun kick-off party at Eureka Heights Brewing on Friday, November 15, from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Get tickets and learn more here.
Witness Decorating Prowess: From December 8th to 12th, witness the creativity of residents as the House Decorating Competition unfolds. See which homes on the featured streets will win the coveted prize!
